Adopting integrated care models that address both HIV\/NCD prevention and management, such as screening and coordinated treatment, is a holistic approach that addresses these concerns<\/p>\n<p>To this effect, and in collaboration with all key stakeholders, the Ministry of Health is in the process of developing the protocol to guide baseline assessment of essential packages for non-communicable disease and HIV (PEN-HIV) integration of services. This package will provide a more holistic approach to healthcare by simultaneously addressing the prevention, screening, and treatment of both HIV and NCDs, thus strengthening equity and efficiency in primary health care settings.
