WELCOME TO NASCOP
Through HIV programming, the National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP) contributes to the standardization, quality and effectiveness of HIV services in Kenya, for better health outcomes for individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
For over 25 years, the Ministry of Health, through NASCOP has provided technical guidance for HIV prevention and treatment in Kenya. By December 2023, 1,336,234 people living with HIV (PLHIV) were receiving treatment nationwide. This progress is due to decentralizing HIV services and close collaboration among counties and communities.
Kenya has made significant strides in controlling the HIV epidemic, meeting the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets of diagnosing 95% of all PLHIV, treating 95% of those diagnosed and achieving viral suppression in 90% of those treated. NASCOP continues to support efforts to achieve the full target.
